What Is The Face To Face Program
FACE TO FACE, founded 1992, is a humanitarian and educational surgical exchange program conducted under the sponsorship of the Educational and Research Foundation for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). In the United States and abroad, AAFPRS surgeons provide complimentary care to those who suffer from facial deformities caused by birth or trauma. The FACE TO FACE program offers individuals the opportunity to overcome the physical limitations placed on them by circumstances beyond their control - deformities at birth, domestic violence, and war. AAFPRS surgeons use their expertise to perform plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head, and neck.

Dr. Choe participated in a Medical Mission Trip to Venezuela - summer 07
Dr. Choe recently returned from a weeklong missions trip with his church to Venezuela where he led a 10 member team to work with adults and children that had various medical and surgical needs.
While there they treated over 500 patients for conditions such as anemia, parasites, arthritis,as well as basic primary care needs. The team worked with a local physician and church.
Dr. Choe loves helping others and these mission trips allow him to use his skills to make life better for those less fortunate in this country. Performing reconstructive surgery on children and adults who would have no other means of getting help for facial/nasal deformities caused by birth or disease – brings Dr. Choe much joy. Because of his humanitarian efforts, Dr. Choe was awarded the “Humanitarian Efforts Travel Award (2003) by The American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.
