Juvederm Volbella® in Virginia Beach

Volbella in Virginia Beach, VAAs we get older, the lips may become thin and lose their youthful definition. Even those lucky enough to be born with a full pout can notice their lips deflate over time. Fine lines, sometimes referred to as ‘smoker’s lines’, result from years of repetitive lip movements, and can add years onto the appearance. Up until recently, the only option available for thinning lips was an augmentation procedure, although not everyone is ready for the long-term commitment of implants. While traditional dermal fillers can also be beneficial in plumping the lips, they are not always successful at achieving the desired results. Today, however, The Choe Center in Virginia Beach offers women and men a cutting-edge option in lip enhancement: Juvederm Volbella®.

Volbella® is the newest dermal filler from the Juvederm family of products, uniquely designed for the lips and peri-oral area. Composed of hyaluronic acid (HA), Volbella® immediately plumps the lips, while kick-starting the body’s collagen production for extended results. Right away, patients can see better definition and fuller, more contoured lips.

Juvederm Volbella® can:

  • Plump the upper and lower lip
  • Create defined lip borders
  • Erase fine lip lines
  • Provide lip volume for up to 12 months

Juvederm Volbella®:

Volbella® is a technologically advanced filler, created using Juvederm’s patented Vycross™ technology. Containing a low concentration HA gel, this one-of-a-kind formula takes in less water than traditional fillers, meaning that Volbella® injections have less chance for post-op swelling. The smooth, creamy formula provides for an easy injection and consistent results. As Volbella®’s HA works with the body to encourage collagen production, the benefits will last for a full year.

Prior to scheduling your Volbella® injections at The Choe Center, a personalized consultation will be arranged. At this time, Dr. Choe will explain the lip enhancement process. He will then perform a brief evaluation of the lip area, and review your medical history. If Volbella® is determined to be the best option for lip rejuvenation, a personalized treatment plan will be created. During this appointment, Dr. Choe will also take a moment to explain any other, complimentary procedures, such as Botox Cosmetic, laser skin resurfacing, or Ultherapy, which can assist in providing overall facial rejuvenation.

Volbella® Injections:

All Volbella® injections are administered in a comfortable Choe Center treatment room. As Volbella® is premixed with lidocaine, a topical anesthetic, the treatment is not painful. With each injection, the lips will be numbed. However, additional topical anesthetics are available for patient comfort, as needed. A Volbella® session will take less than 30 minutes, from start to finish. With no downtime required, patients can get right back to their daily routine.

Complementary Procedures: Juvederm, Juvederm Voluma
